Desktop Sounds
Customising your desktop sounds could not be easier. Just follow the steps below tocustomize your computer.

These instructions apply to PC computers running a windows operating system. For other computers, please consult your manual.
1. Select the sound(s) that you would like to use. You will need to save each one to a folder on your computer. To do this, right click the link to the sound below and select 'Save Target As'. You should save the sounds in a folder that you will be able to find easily later such as 'C:\sounds'.

2. Once you have downloaded the sounds to your computer you should open your Control Panel. Do this by using the 'Start' button, then selecting 'Settings' and 'Control Panel'. Once this panel is open, select 'Sounds and Multimedia'.

3. Step 2 will open a tabbed window. The 'Sounds' tab will display the events to which you can assign sounds. Where a sound is already assigned an icon of a speaker will appear to the left of the event.

4. Select the event to which you want to allocate one of our animal sounds, for example 'Close Program'.

5. Click the 'Browse' button. In the window that opens, locate the folder which you saved your downloaded sounds to and highlight your chosen sound (you can preview the sound by clicking on the play icon). Once highlighted, click OK.

6. Repeat steps 5 and 5 on all the events which you would like to customise. Once you have allocated all of the chosen sounds, you have the option to save your sound scheme so that you can change it later. Click save and enter a new name for your sound scheme.

7. Make sure your sound scheme is selected, then click on 'Apply'.

If you want to reset your machine to the normal windows settings, do steps 1-3 above, then choose Windows default from the 'Scheme' menu.
